High Water Mark VII: Shout Out From Oi Polloi on 'Punx 'N' Skins' EP (1996)

Anarchopunk/ crust band OI POLLOI from Edinburgh, Scotland are old friends of RASH NYC. We first had contact with Deek and the band at a show in Brixton in 1990, and then traveled with them on their Summer 1990 shows to Montreal and Ottawa.

In 1995 they played ABC No Rio to a volatile, packed house of punks and skins (about 50/ 50). We helped with stage security and cooler heads prevailed. The show was a success.

They gave us a shout out on their 'Punx 'N' Skins' EP (1996; Fight 45)

Close-up of the shout out.

The bands early releases on Oi! Records,"Unite and Win" LP and "Skins 'N' Punks Vol. 2 split w/ The Betrayed (both from 1987) continue to be seminal steel-toe-to-the-nuts skinhead records.
Many of their other early releases such as "Resist The Atomic Menace" EP and "Unlimited Genocide" split w/ AOA (both from 1986) are great Anarchopunk thrash records. They've had a mountain of releases since then, innovating with new styles. A mixed bag musically, but still hits in the bunch.
